- Ruth Gavison (28 March 1945 – 15 August 2020): Professor of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Active in privacy law discussions since the early 1970s, she completed her PhD thesis on ‘Privacy and its Legal Protection’ in 1975 at Oxford with H.L.A. Hart.
